Sylhet Engineering College - SEC Affiliated with Shajalal University of Science and Technology

 The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) at Sylhet Engineering College (SEC) commenced its journey in 2016, aiming to cultivate skilled professionals in the field of electrical and electronic engineering. Affiliated with Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), SEC is a public undergraduate institution located in Tilagarh, Sylhet, Bangladesh. The college offers three primary undergraduate programs:

**Computer Science and Engineering (CSE)**

**Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE)**

**Civil Engineering (CE)**

Each department admits approximately 60 students annually.

The EEE department offers a four-year Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree. For instance, it has conducted multiple hands-on workshops on single-phase and three-phase transformer winding, providing students with valuable exposure to real-world applications.

SEC offers a vibrant campus life with various facilities, including:

Residential Halls: Two male hostels and one female hostel, each accommodating approximately 200 students.

Central Library: Located adjacent to the academic building, housing a vast collection of books and resources.

Campus Radio: Initiated by CSE students and now maintained collaboratively with the EEE department, serving as a platform for creative expression and information dissemination.

The college also celebrates cultural events and national days, fostering a sense of community and cultural awareness among students. 

Admission Process

Admission to the EEE program is competitive. Prospective students must have a science background with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics at the SSC and HSC levels. Selection is based on a written admission test, and the academic activities follow a four-year semester credit system.
